Fidelity Is Not a Four Letter Word

My very good friend had her final divorce hearing today. The judge asked if both parties were entering the settlement voluntarily. She said she agreed to the settlement, but was being forced into it. Now, in symbolic entry into her new life she wants us girls all to go get a tattoo. What do you think?

Why not just support her in getting the tattoo, those things stick with you forever.

If she said she wanted to jump off a bridge, would you join her??

You could get a Henna tattoo that will wear off in a couple of weeks.

I have always considered the idea of getting a tattoo but I could never decide anything that I wanted permanently placed upon my body. I think I go through phases too much. On one day I might really want the tattoo but on another day I am afraid I would regret it. That has been the thing that has kept me of seriously getting one.

I have a tattoo. A 1/2 inch cross on what used to be my svelte hip, now it is not resting on any place delicate. I wanted to get a tattoo while I was still living with Mom & Dad but Mom told me that she would throw me out if I did. How can you give a 19 year old that kind of challenge? So I got it, but I was chicken and didn't want to be homeless so it was very tiny. You should have seen Mom always trying to see it and me trying to hide it. (It was during the summer and I was wearing barely there clothes). I ended up getting thrown out a year later and as an adult I regret it. I have told the girls that it is a birthmark. I don't know how much longer that is going to last.

Wow Dave - that is harsh! You don't see me making fun of my parents age like that. I certainly wouldn't make fun of your mom's age. She's young.

Go for it... its just flesh and blood... No biggie. I would avoid anything too generic, however... I like the Chili peppers but have them draw up something really beautiful for you- That incorporates your love of nature with the peppers, for example. Get something that is meaningful to you- Something that will never change about you. I would root for the arm (Upper) or the back (shoulder)- They say more serious- ankle says college freshman to me. But do what you want.... Its your life! Its your body!
