Snapping Turtle
Chet found this little lady laying eggs in the garden. Though cute when little, we don't really want to be growing this variety. Last year, Sassy got too close to one larger than this and got a nice cut on her nose for it. She has learned to keep a wide berth. So Patrick - if you come across one, be sure to check with Mom or Dad before picking him up!

Wow, what a find. It has been a long time since I have lived where any kind of wild life visited. The closest we came to wild life in torreon were the rooftop cats that would move into our garden and have there kittens. And what is going one, it seems no one has been updating their blogs. Has something happened that I missed.
We have been on vacation for the past two weeks.
